Privacy policy
Privacy Leak Check is a local browser tool. It is designed so you can inspect signals your own browser already has, without creating a profile of you on our servers.
What happens in your browser
- Public IP lookup requests go from your browser to free third-party providers (ipwho.is and ipapi.co).
- An IPv6-only lookup, when shown, goes from your browser to api6.ipify.org and, if needed, ipv6.icanhazip.com.
- WebRTC ICE candidates are assembled locally using a public STUN server.
- Browser, language, timezone, screen, cookie, WebGL, and referrer details are read with standard web APIs.
- An optional VPN baseline is stored only in localStorage on this device.
- Language preference is stored only in localStorage.
What we do not do
- No user accounts, passwords, or customer database.
- No analytics, advertising, or fingerprinting SDKs.
- No fingerprint ID is generated.
- No public share URL that embeds your raw IP address.
- No automatic affiliate redirects or injected affiliate cookies.
Third parties you may contact
IP lookup providers and STUN servers will see the IP address your network uses to reach them. That is inherent to asking “what is my IP?”, checking IPv6 connectivity, or gathering ICE candidates. We do not control those services’ logs. If an optional NordVPN affiliate URL is configured, clicking it sends you to that destination; until you click, this site does not load that offer.

This project does not operate a user database. If you self-host it, you are responsible for the domain, logs, and environment variables you configure.
